Happy Hearts has been placing animals in new homes since January, 2007.  Here are a few of our recent 'happy endings'!

February, 2008 A stray dog that had previously been discarded was causing problems in a neighborhood because she was scavenging for food and chasing off other dogs roaming the area.  No one realized she had a litter of puppies in a hollow tree nearby.  It took a week of feeding her regularly before she decided to trust humans again and allowed herself and her puppies to be rescued.  The five puppies have all been placed into loving homes after receiving veterinary care.  The mama dog is relieved that her puppies are safe now and is hoping for a home of her own soon.  A big thanks to the foster parents who took on the entire family!
This is Dexter, one of the 'Hollow Tree' puppies shown above, taking a nap with his new daddy

Here's what his new family has to say about him: Dexter is awesome!  He's so much fun and he's growing like a weed.  He's such a good puppy.  It took us about 1 week to potty train him and now he goes and waits at the door and just looks like... "okay... I'm ready now!".  He brings so much life and fun to this house.

Here are two more of the Hollow Tree puppies, Hank and Paisley.  Here's what Hank's new mommy has to say:   Michael and I are so happy to have Hank in our lives. He's a great puppy... don't tell Michael but Hank likes me more :) Hank and I go on walks everyday where Hank gets to meet new people and puppies. He does so well with other pups. Most of all Hank enjoys sleeping (with mommy) and of course playing!

Murphy 'after'!

February, 2008    Murphy was found wandering the side of the road, dirty and hungry.  Murphy is now a beloved family member who is happy and well fed, and most importantly, he's loved and wanted!

Murphy's new mom had this to say: This is a really nice website.  I'll have to check it from time to time for more rescue stories.  Thanks for what you do for animals.  It is appreciated.  And thanks again for helping me find Murphy.                      Murphy 'before'

January, 2008  These darlings were abandoned in front of a kind person's house.  She took them in and called Happy Hearts for help.  We were able to place the puppies in a wonderful home with a family who had recently suffered the loss of a beloved dog.  The puppies are delighted to be in a place where they are loved and are bringing joy to their new people.

Congratulations to all, and a big thanks to their rescuer!
